Homily
When Jesus rode into Jerusalem he came as a conqueror, but not as conqueror is usually understood. He is not seeking to topple the Romans. What he seeks to topple is human misunderstanding of the divine and, following from that, what it means to be truly human. The enemies he will confront are fear and death.
Palm Sunday Conversations
Many churches use donkeys to draw people’s attention to Jesus and the events of Holy Week and Easter. This worship drama helps us understand what was going on at the time, and why the donkey was so essential. It consists of five conversations set in the context of worship and prayer.
