Bread-making is easy these days. All you need is a bread-making machine. You put all the ingredients in, switch it on, then several hours later, you get a perfectly baked loaf. Easy! No mess. No hard kneading. Not like in former days. Then it took hard work, and an evil-smelling, evil-looking mouldy substance called leaven.
